The Cougars (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Poteet (Mesquite, TX). The Pirates enter the 5A Region 2 District 14 outing with a 7-1 record. In their last outing, Poteet tipped Wilson (Dallas, TX), 3-1, in a league outing.

Next up, the Spartans confront the West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX) in a 5A Region 2 District 14 match, on Tuesday, February 11. Samuell will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Wranglers come into the match with a 3-9 record after their 4-1 league loss to North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX).
