In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Cherry Creek Bruins basketball team scored a close 47-40 triumph over the Smoky Hill Buffaloes.
The Bruins (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Poudre (Fort Collins, CO). The Impalas go into the non-league contest with a 0-2 record.
In their next game, the Buffaloes confront the Mullen Mustangs (Denver, CO) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, February 13. Smoky Hill will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 2-14 record after their 74-37 non-league loss to Eaglecrest (Centennial, CO).
