Maine High School Basketball - Dirigo can't hold off Mountain Valley

The Mountain Valley Falcons basketball team scored 40 points and restricted the host Dirigo Cougars to 34 in the Falcons non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Falcons now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hall-Dale for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 10. Mountain Valley will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 57-43 non-league win over Spruce Mountain (Jay, ME). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-0.
The Cougars (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Carrabec (North Anson, ME). The Cobras come into the C South contest with a 12-2 record. In their last contest, Carrabec edged Oak Hill (Sabattus, ME), 59-36, in a non-league contest.
