The Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC) basketball crushed the host KIPP Pride Pride (Gaston, NC), 50-28 in Wednesday's league test.
The Chargers (7-7) will now prepare for their test against Northwest Halifax (Littleton, NC). The Vikings go into the 1A Conference 9 test with a 5-10 record. In their last test, Northwest Halifax was trounced by Northampton County (Gaston, NC), 47-28, in a league test.
The Pride now own a 0-16 record. They play next when they travel to North Edgecombe for a 1A Conference 9 test on Friday, February 11. KIPP Pride will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 70-20 league loss to Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 4-16.
