Alaska High School Basketball - Bristol Bay ripped by Newhalen

The Newhalen Malamutes basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting Bristol Bay Angels to 37 in the Malamutes league triumph on Thursday.
The Malamutes now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tanalian for a 1A Aleutian Chain contest on Friday, February 10. Newhalen will meet a Lynx team coming off a 57-47 league win over Chief Ivan Blunka (New Stuyahok, AK). The Lynx record now stands at 4-9.
The Angels (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Tanalian (Port Alsworth, AK). The Lynx enter the 1A Aleutian Chain contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Tanalian was routed by Newhalen (Newhalen, AK), 65-39, in a league contest.
