The Corona/Vaughn basketball team (Corona, NM), was overwhelmed 61-22 in Thursday's league battle with the host Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM)
The Eagles now possess a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alamo Navajo for a A District 3 battle on Saturday, February 11. Hondo Valley will confront a Cougars team coming off a 62-18 league win over Corona/Vaughn (Corona, NM). The Cougars record now stands at 19-4.
The (0-10) will now prepare for their battle against Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM). The Cougars come into the A District 3 battle with a 18-4 record. In their last battle, Alamo Navajo trounced Mountainair (Mountainair, NM), 75-39, in a league battle.
