Shepherd Mustangs (Shepherd, MT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Custer County Cowboys (Miles City, MT), 87-75 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Shepherd upgrades its record to 2-15 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Colstrip (Colstrip, MT) to clash with the Colts in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 11. The Colts go into the bout with a record of 2-13. Colstrip lost 76-43 in their recent non-league bout against Huntley Project (Worden, MT)

Next up, the Cowboys clash with the Park Rangers (Livingston, MT) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 10. Custer County will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 1-16 record after their 63-53 non-league loss to Manhattan (Manhattan, MT).
