Ridgway Demons (Ridgway, CO) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting De Beque Dragons (De Beque, CO), 48-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Ridgway upgrades its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Demons travel to Mancos (Mancos, CO) to play the Bluejays in a 2A/1A San Juan Basin bout on Saturday, February 11. The Bluejays come into the bout with a record of 11-5. Mancos won 60-52 in their recent league bout against Telluride (Telluride, CO)

Next up, the Dragons play the Hayden Tigers (Hayden, CO) in a 2A/1A Western Slope bout, on Saturday, February 11. De Beque will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 50-43 non-league loss to Rifle (Rifle, CO).
