In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Pope County Pirates basketball team scored a decisive 83-25 triumph over the Dongola Demons.
In their next game, the Pirates meet the Egyptian Pharaohs (Tamms, IL) in a non-league match, on Monday, February 13. Pope County will attempt to better on its 19-9 season record. The Pharaohs enter the match with a 3-22 record after their 42-39 league loss to Cobden (Cobden, IL).
With the defeat, Dongola moves to 0-22 on the year. The Demons travel to Elverado (Elkville, IL) to meet the Falcons in a South Egyptian match on Friday, February 10. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 9-15.
