Dyer County Choctaws (Newbern, TN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Obion County Rebels (Troy, TN), 78-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Dyer County upgrades its record to 17-5 on the season. The Choctaws host Dyersburg (Dyersburg, TN) to clash with the Trojans in a 3A District 13 bout on Saturday, February 11. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 20-6. Dyersburg lost 58-50 in their recent league bout against Crockett County (Alamo, TN)

Next up, the Rebels clash with the Crockett County Cavaliers (Alamo, TN) in a 3A District 13 bout, on Friday, February 10. Obion County will attempt to upgrade on its 17-7 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 20-7 record after their 58-50 league win over Dyersburg (Dyersburg, TN).
