Eagan Wildcats (Eagan, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Shakopee Sabers (Shakopee, MN), 76-64 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Eagan upgrades its record to 12-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Burnsville (Burnsville, MN) to play the Blaze in a AAAA Section 3 bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Blaze come into the bout with a record of 8-11. Burnsville lost 76-61 in their recent non-league bout against Farmington (Farmington, MN)

Next up, the Sabers play the Minnetonka Skippers (Minnetonka, MN) in a AAAA Section 2 bout, on Saturday, February 11. Shakopee will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Skippers come into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 73-57 non-league win over Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, MN).
