Evanston Wildkits (Evanston, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Niles West Wolves (Skokie, IL), 61-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Evanston upgrades its record to 22-7 on the season. The Wildkits host Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, IL) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 16-14. Vernon Hills won 67-57 in their recent league bout against Maine West (Des Plaines, IL)

Next up, the Wolves clash with the Northtown Pumas (Chicago, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 10. Niles West will attempt to upgrade on its 16-13 season record. The Pumas go into the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 79-35 league loss to Chicago Hope Academy (Chicago, IL).
