In Thursday's non-league outing, the Faith Christian Academy (Goldsboro, NC) basketball squad edged the host Howard Eagles (Wilson, NC), by a count of 70-67.
The (7-12) will now prepare for their outing against Christ Covenant (Winterville, NC). The Spartan go into the North Carolina Christian - 2A South outing with a 10-12 record. In their last outing, Christ Covenant was tipped by Community Christian (Wilson, NC), 71-46, in a league outing.
The Eagles now hold a 13-8 record.
