The Vashon Island Pirates basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Life Christian Academy Eagles to 44 in the Pirates league triumph on Thursday.

The Pirates now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chimacum for a 1A Nisqually contest on Saturday, February 11. Vashon Island will meet a Cowboys team coming off a 80-34 league loss to Annie Wright (Tacoma, WA). The Cowboys record now stands at 5-11.

The Eagles (11-10) will now prepare for their contest against Cascade Christian (Puyallup, WA). The Cougars enter the 1A Nisqually contest with a 13-9 record. In their last contest, Cascade Christian nudged Life Christian Academy (Tacoma, WA), 52-51, in a league contest.
