Utah High School Basketball - Mount Vernon nudges Rich

In Thursday's league outing, the Mount Vernon Patriots (Murray, UT) basketball squad nipped the host Rich Rebels (Randolph, UT), by a margin of 71-70.

The Patriots (14-7) will now prepare for their outing against Dugway (Dugway, UT). The Mustangs go into the non-league outing with a 0-11 record. In their last outing, Dugway was tipped by Wendover (Wendover, UT), 62-14, in a league match.

With the defeat, Rich moves to 11-10 on the year. The Rebels travel to Altamont (Altamont, UT) to meet the Longhorns in a 1A Region 22 match on Friday, February 10. The Longhorns enter the match with a record of 3-13. Altamont lost 46-37 in their recent non-league match against Duchesne (Duchesne, UT)
