Texas High School Basketball - St. Augustine edges St. Joseph Academy

The St. Augustine Knights (Laredo, TX) basketball nipped the visiting St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds (Brownsville, TX), 72-71 in Thursday's league test.
The Knights (24-4) will now prepare for their test against Fort Bend Christian Academy (Sugar Land, TX). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 11-11 record. In their last test, Fort Bend Christian Academy was tipped by Lutheran South Academy (Houston, TX), 62-60, in a league test.
The Bloodhounds now own a 21-6 record. They play next when they travel to St. Anthony for a TAPPS 5A District 4 test on Friday, February 10. St. Joseph Academy will encounter a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 62-37 league loss to TMI-Episcopal (San Antonio, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 11-8.
