West Virginia High School Basketball - Ripley crushes Capital

February 9, 2023: Charleston, WV 25311

Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Capital Cougars (Charleston, WV), 49-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ripley upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Vikings travel to Lewis County (Weston, WV) to play the Minutemen in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 11. The Minutemen go into the bout with a record of 15-5. Lewis County won 46-37 in their recent league bout against Philip Barbour (Philippi, WV)

Next up, the Cougars play the Greenbrier East Spartans (Lewisburg, WV) in a Freelance bout, on Saturday, February 11. Capital will attempt to upgrade on its 0-19 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 55-52 league win over Princeton (Princeton, WV).
