The Ronan Chiefs (Ronan, MT) basketball nipped the visiting Columbia Falls Wildcats (Columbia Falls, MT), 50-48 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Chiefs (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Polson (Polson, MT). The Pirates go into the A Northwest test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Polson was tipped by Bigfork (Bigfork, MT), 69-22, in a non-league test.
The Wildcats now own a 9-6 record.
