In Thursday's league match, the host Dayton Pirates basketball team scored a tight 46-44 triumph over the Sheridan Spartans.
In their next game, the Pirates face the Santiam Christian Eagles (Corvallis, OR) in a 3A PacWest match, on Saturday, February 11. Dayton will attempt to move on its 3-15 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 14-5 record after their 50-47 league loss to Amity (Amity, OR).
With the defeat, Sheridan moves to 6-7 on the year.
