New Mexico High School Basketball - Shiprock overwhelmed by Gallup

The Gallup Bengals basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the host Shiprock Chieftains to 10 in the Bengals league victory on Thursday.
The Bengals now sport a 19-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Aztec for a 4A District 1 contest on Saturday, February 11. Gallup will battle a Tigers team coming off a 59-33 league loss to Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM). The Tigers record now stands at 6-17.
The Chieftains (5-18) will now prepare for their contest against Miyamura (Gallup, NM). The Patriots come into the 4A District 1 contest with a 5-17 record. In their last contest, Miyamura was routed by Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM), 48-27, in a league contest.
