In Thursday's league outing, the Lakewood Vikings (Lake Odessa, MI) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Maple Valley Lions (Vermontville, MI), by a margin of 80-9.
The Vikings (12-6) will now prepare for their outing against Lansing Christian (Lansing, MI). The Pilgrims go into the Greater Lansing outing with a 9-9 record. In their last outing, Lansing Christian was trounced by Olivet (Olivet, MI), 34-20, in a non-league outing.
The Lions now own a 1-15 record. They play next when they host Leslie for a Greater Lansing outing on Monday, February 13. Maple Valley will clash with a Blackhawks squad coming off a 57-44 league loss to Stockbridge (Stockbridge, MI). The Blackhawks record now stands at 10-8.
