River Dell Golden Hawks (Oradell, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mahwah Thunderbirds (Mahwah, NJ), 36-26 in a league bout.

With the win, River Dell upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Golden Hawks travel to Northern Highlands (Allendale, NJ) to play the Highlanders in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 11. The Highlanders go into the bout with a record of 14-3. Northern Highlands won 51-24 in their recent league bout against Ridgewood (Ridgewood, NJ)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Park Ridge Owls (Park Ridge, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 11. Mahwah will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Owls go into the bout with a 13-11 record after their 36-21 non-league win over Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, NJ).
