In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Summers County Bobcats basketball team scored a decisive 59-34 triumph over the Mercer Christian Academy Cavaliers .
In their next game, the Bobcats meet the Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) in a Coalfield AA match, on Saturday, February 11. Summers County will attempt to move on its 16-4 season record.
