New York High School Basketball - Washingtonville can't hold off Newburgh Free Academy

The Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Washingtonville Wizards to 49 in the Goldbacks non-league victory on Thursday.
The Goldbacks now sport a 1-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley Central for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 11. Newburgh Free Academy will battle a Vikings team coming off a 60-53 non-league loss to Monroe-Woodbury (Central Valley, NY). The Vikings record now stands at 5-8.
The Wizards (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against Middletown (Middletown, NY). The Middie Bears come into the non-league contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Middletown was nudged by Warwick (Warwick, NY), 53-22, in a non-league contest.
