In Thursday's non-league outing, the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA), by a count of 46-41.
The Cavaliers (14-4) will now prepare for their outing against Brookville (Lynchburg, VA). The Bees go into the non-league outing with a 3-12 record. In their last outing, Brookville held off Rustburg (Rustburg, VA), 19-16, in a non-league outing.
The Minutemen now hold a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Amherst County for a non-league outing on Monday, February 13. Liberty will clash with a Lancers squad coming off a 29-28 non-league loss to Heritage (Lynchburg, VA). The Lancers record now stands at 11-10.
