Monterey Dores (Monterey, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Carmel Padres (Carmel, CA), 69-65 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monterey upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Dores host Hollister (Hollister, CA) to clash with the Haybalers in a bout on Saturday, February 11. The Haybalers go into the bout with a record of 12-9. Hollister won 51-40 in their recent league bout against Alisal (Salinas, CA)

Next up, the Padres clash with the Palma Chieftains (Salinas, CA) in a bout, on Friday, February 10. Carmel will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Chieftains go into the bout with a 14-8 record after their 57-33 league win over Alisal (Salinas, CA).
