Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC), 67-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Albemarle upgrades its record to 3-19 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to North Stanly (New London, NC) to play the Comets in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 17-5. North Stanly won 77-74 in their recent league bout against Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC) in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Gray Stone Day will attempt to upgrade on its 1-18 season record. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls come into the bout with a 18-4 record after their 60-53 league win over Union Academy (Monroe, NC).
