Mississippi High School Basketball - Wilkinson County overwhelmed by Amite County

The Amite County Trojans basketball team scored 73 points and restricted the visiting Wilkinson County Wildcats to 47 in the Trojans league victory on Friday.
The Trojans now sport a 6-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bay Springs for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 13. Amite County will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 67-60 non-league loss to Newton (Newton, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-7.
The Wildcats (5-18) will now prepare for their contest against Newton (Newton, MS). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 21-6 record. In their last contest, Newton triumphed over Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS), 67-60, in a non-league contest.
