Fans at Friday's league challenge between the River Valley Raiders (Bidwell, OH) and the visiting Athens Bulldogs (The Plains, OH), saw River Valley's basketball squad hold off Athens by a tally of 39-38.

With the victory, River Valley improves its record to 6-15 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Meigs (Pomeroy, OH) to confront the Marauders in a Tri-Valley I challenge on Friday, February 16. The Marauders come into the challenge with a record of 15-4.

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Federal Hocking Lancers (Stewart, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Athens will attempt to improve on its 4-16 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 14-6 record after their 59-43 league win over Southern (Racine, OH).
