Michigan High School Basketball - Beaverton overwhelmed by Meridian

The Meridian Mustangs basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the visiting Beaverton Beavers to 39 in the Mustangs league victory on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Freeland for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 13. Meridian will battle a Falcons team coming off a 72-65 non-league loss to Laingsburg (Laingsburg, MI). The Falcons record now stands at 16-2.

The Beavers (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Valley Lutheran (Saginaw, MI). The Chargers come into the non-league contest with a 8-9 record. In their last contest, Valley Lutheran was routed by Nouvel Catholic Central (Saginaw, MI), 68-54, in a league contest.
