Dawson Bulldogs (Dawson, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bremond Tigers (Bremond, TX), 61-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Dawson upgrades its record to 18-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Hubbard (Hubbard, TX) to play the Jaguars in a 2A Region III District 18 bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 18-13. Hubbard won 51-30 in their recent league bout against Riesel (Riesel, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the Axtell Longhorns (Axtell, TX) in a 2A Region III District 18 bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Bremond will attempt to upgrade on its 17-10 season record.
