Brook Hill Guard (Bullard, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Vanguard College Prep Vikings (Waco, TX), 40-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Brook Hill upgrades its record to 22-10 on the campaign. The Guard travel to McKinney Christian Academy (McKinney, TX) to play the Mustangs in a TAPPS 4A District 2 bout on Monday, February 12. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 23-11. McKinney Christian Academy won 68-59 in their recent league bout against Dallas Christian (Mesquite, TX)

Next up, the Vikings play the Covenant Knights (Dallas, TX) in a TAPPS 4A District 2 bout, on Monday, February 12. Vanguard College Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 10-15 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 20-10 record after their 48-42 league loss to Prince of Peace (Carrollton, TX).
