Burlington Grayhounds (Burlington, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Washington Demons (Washington, IA), 59-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Burlington upgrades its record to 4-15 on the campaign. The Grayhounds host Waterloo East (Waterloo, IA) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 8-15. Waterloo East lost 50-48 in their recent non-league bout against Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA)

Next up, the Demons play the Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Mustangs enter the game with a 12-9 record after their 61-54 non-league win over Grinnell (Grinnell, IA).
