The Connally Cadets (Waco, TX) basketball knocked off the host China Spring Cougars (China Spring, TX), 60-44 in Friday's league test.

The Cadets (16-14) will now prepare for their test against Salado (Salado, TX). The Eagles go into the 4A Region III District 23 test with a 9-22 record. In their last test, Salado went down by La Vega (Waco, TX), 84-56, in a league test.

The Cougars now own a 14-19 record. They play next when they travel to Gatesville for a 4A Region III District 23 test on Tuesday, February 13. China Spring will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 68-53 league win over Robinson (Robinson, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 24-10.
