The Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY) basketball nipped the visiting Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY), 58-53 in Friday's league test.
The Warriors (3-15) will now prepare for their test against Goshen Central (Goshen, NY). The Gladiators go into the Section 9 Orange County II test with a 4-13 record. In their last test, Goshen Central was tipped by Warwick (Warwick, NY), 64-35, in a non-league test.
The Dragons now own a 10-7 record. They play next when they host Monticello for a Section 9 Orange County II test on Monday, February 12. Cornwall Central will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 60-33 non-league win over Liberty (Liberty, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 12-6.
