Corvallis Spartans (Corvallis, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Lebanon Warriors (Lebanon, OR), 54-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, Corvallis upgrades its record to 8-11 on the campaign. The Spartans host Central (Independence, OR) to play the Panthers in a 5A Mid-Willamette bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 10-9. Central lost 63-62 in their recent league bout against West Albany (Albany, OR)

Next up, the Warriors play the Crescent Valley Raiders (Corvallis, OR) in a 5A Mid-Willamette bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Lebanon will attempt to upgrade on its 3-17 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 4-15 record after their 62-56 league loss to Woodburn (Woodburn, OR).
