The Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) basketball felled the host NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC), 82-72 in Friday's league test.

The Wildcats (10-13) will now prepare for their test against Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Cougars go into the 1A/2A Western Highlands test with a 13-10 record. In their last test, Mountain Heritage thwarted Madison (Marshall, NC), 68-48, in a league test.

The now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to Rosman for a 1A/2A Western Highlands test on Tuesday, February 13. NCSSM: Morganton will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 69-33 league loss to Mitchell (Bakersville, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 3-18.
