The East Greenwich Avengers basketball team (East Greenwich, RI), was overwhelmed 66-43 in Friday's league battle with the host East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI)

The Townies now possess a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to La Salle Academy for a Division 1 battle on Tuesday, February 13. East Providence will confront a Rams team coming off a 89-52 league win over Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI). The Rams record now stands at 17-4.

The Avengers (3-15) will now prepare for their battle against Narragansett (Narragansett, RI). The Mariners come into the Division 1 battle with a 9-11 record. In their last battle, Narragansett was overwhelmed by La Salle Academy (Providence, RI), 69-44, in a league battle.
