Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting East Moline United Panthers (East Moline, IL), 80-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Sterling upgrades its record to 21-7 on the season. The Golden Warriors travel to LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 19-7. LaSalle-Peru won 63-38 in their recent league bout against Sycamore (Sycamore, IL)

Next up, the Panthers play the Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) in a Western Big 6 bout, on Tuesday, February 13. East Moline United will attempt to upgrade on its 15-10 season record. The Maroons go into the bout with a 23-6 record after their 31-29 non-league loss to Normal Community (Normal, IL).
