North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC), 65-53 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Stokes upgrades its record to 16-7 on the campaign. The Vikings host South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC) to play the Sauras in a 1A Northwest bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Sauras come into the bout with a record of 21-1. South Stokes won 70-37 in their recent league bout against Starmount (Boonville, NC)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) in a 1A Northwest bout, on Friday, February 16. East Wilkes will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record.
