Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones (Elizabethton, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Happy Valley Warriors (Elizabethton, TN), 69-61 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elizabethton upgrades its record to 8-17 on the season. The Fighting Cyclones travel to University (Johnson City, TN) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Monday, February 12. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 15-8. University lost 75-64 in their recent non-league bout against Unicoi County (Erwin, TN)
