Empire Bulldogs (Duncan, OK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Waurika Eagles (Waurika, OK), 61-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Empire upgrades its record to 11-12 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Velma-Alma (Velma, OK) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 20-3. Velma-Alma won 64-51 in their recent league bout against Walters (Walters, OK)
