Texas High School Basketball - Floydada nudges Hale Center

In Friday's league outing, the Floydada Whirlwinds (Floydada, TX) basketball squad nipped the host Hale Center Owls (Hale Center, TX), by a margin of 79-73.

The Whirlwinds (23-8) will now prepare for their outing against Sudan (Sudan, TX). The Hornets go into the 2A Region I District 4 outing with a 13-11 record. In their last outing, Sudan got by Lockney (Lockney, TX), 74-55, in a league outing.

The Owls now own a 21-9 record. They play next when they travel to Ralls for a 2A Region I District 4 outing on Monday, February 12. Hale Center will clash with a Jackrabbits squad coming off a 71-38 league loss to Olton (Olton, TX). The Jackrabbits record now stands at 9-17.
