Texas High School Basketball - Manvel knocked off by Friendswood

The Friendswood Mustangs basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Manvel Mavericks to 48 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.
The Mustangs now sport a 22-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to La Porte for a 5A Region III District 18 contest on Tuesday, February 13. Friendswood will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 69-50 league win over Angleton (Angleton, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 20-14.
The Mavericks (15-17) will now prepare for their contest against Santa Fe (Santa Fe, TX). The Indians enter the 5A Region III District 18 contest with a 11-20 record. In their last contest, Santa Fe was outscored by Texas City (Texas City, TX), 55-46, in a league contest.
