The Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host Sibley East Wolverines to 50 in the Thunderbirds non-league victory on Friday.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Ulm Cathedral for a A Section 2 contest on Tuesday, February 13. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop will battle a Greyhounds team coming off a 67-62 non-league loss to B O L D (Olivia, MN). The Greyhounds record now stands at 12-9.

The Wolverines (4-20) will now prepare for their contest against Windom (Windom, MN). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 7-15 record. In their last contest, Windom was defeated by Pipestone (Pipestone, MN), 89-72, in a league contest.
