Texas High School Basketball - Godley topped by Venus

The Venus Bulldogs basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Godley Wildcats to 33 in the Bulldogs league victory on Friday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 25-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kennedale for a 4A Region II District 10 contest on Tuesday, February 13. Venus will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 86-67 league win over Ferris (Ferris, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 27-4.
The Wildcats (10-20) will now prepare for their contest against Hillsboro (Hillsboro, TX). The Eagles come into the 4A Region II District 10 contest with a 17-15 record. In their last contest, Hillsboro dropped by Venus (Venus, TX), 57-51, in a league contest.
