The North Johnston Panthers basketball team scored 80 points and restricted the visiting Goldsboro Cougars to 64 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 17-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eastern Wayne for a 2A Neuse contest on Tuesday, February 13. North Johnston will battle a Warriors team coming off a 64-62 league loss to Beddingfield (Wilson, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 10-11.

The Cougars (19-3) will now prepare for their contest against Spring Creek (Seven Springs, NC). The Gators enter the 2A Neuse match with a 6-13 record. In their last match, Spring Creek lost by Princeton (Princeton, NC), 76-68, in a league match.
