The Green Mountain Chieftains basketball team (Chester, VT), was nudged 56-55 in Friday's league battle with the host Leland & Gray Rebels (Townshend, VT)

The Rebels now possess a 3-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Rutland for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 13. Leland & Gray will confront a Golden Horde team coming off a 59-57 non-league win over White River Valley (Royalton, VT). The Golden Horde record now stands at 14-2.

The Chieftains (9-9) will now prepare for their battle against Arlington Memorial (Arlington, VT). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 4-12 record. In their last battle, Arlington Memorial was nudged by Poultney (Poultney, VT), 61-55, in a league battle.
