The Guthrie Jaguars (Guthrie, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Patton Springs Rangers (Afton, TX), 66-34 in Friday's league test.

The Jaguars (10-18) will now prepare for their test against Spur (Spur, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 1A Region I District 5 test with a 5-18 record. In their last test, Spur was trounced by Paducah (Paducah, TX), 61-57, in a league test.

The Rangers now own a 7-17 record. They play next when they host Jayton for a 1A Region I District 5 test on Monday, February 12. Patton Springs will encounter a Jaybirds squad coming off a 89-20 league win over Motley County (Matador, TX). The Jaybirds record now stands at 29-3.
