Oscoda Owls (Oscoda, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Heston Academy Patriots (St. Helen, MI), 38-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Oscoda improves its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Tawas Area (Tawas City, MI) to confront the Braves in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 12. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 4-12. Tawas Area lost 73-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Alpena (Alpena, MI)

Next up, the Patriots confront the Harrison Hornets (Harrison, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Heston Academy will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record.
